Participate in the Elite Circle Résumé Contest

The Elite Circle Résumé Contest will run from Wednesday, November 1st through 11:59 pm EST on Sunday, December 31st, 2023. If you’re chosen as a winner, you’ll be recognized as an industry-leading career services provider and featured in PARWCC publications.

Contest Prizes

The overall winner will receive one year of free PARWCC membership and a ticket to Thrive! 2024.
The first-place winner of each category will receive one year of free PARWCC membership and a $300 credit toward any PARWCC training

The second-place winner of each category will receive one year of free PARWCC membership.

The third-place winner of each category will win a $100 credit toward any PARWCC training.

Résumé Writing Contest Rules & Deadlines

1. You must submit a résumé that aligns with one of the categories listed below. Only one submission per category is allowed (four submissions maximum per person). You may only submit ONE entry per category. You are not required to submit an entry to each category.

   • Student résumé

   • Federal résumé

   • Mid-career Professional résumé

   • Executive résumé

2. You may submit a previously written résumé that aligns with the categories listed above or create an entirely new résumé that aligns with the categories listed above.

3. If you submit a client résumé, please be sure to protect the confidentiality of your client and remove all personal identifiers (change the name, location, address, email, phone number, all personal/contact information, etc.)

4. You may not submit a résumé using CPRW Exam materials, information, or content.

5. All résumés must be submitted as a PDF file.

6. Title the file with your first and last name, and indicate the contest category (Student, Federal, Mid-Career, or Executive). Example: JohnSmith-Executive.pdf

7. When filling out the submission form, please include your name and updated contact information (phone number and email address) so  we can contact you if you win.

8. You will receive an email confirming receipt of your contest entry.

9. No cover letters will be evaluated – résumés only.

10. Résumés that are submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.

11. We will select one first-place winner, one second-place winner, and one third-place winner from each of the four categories as well as one overall winner (13 winners total).

12. By submitting an entry, you grant PARWCC universal rights to use the contents for training, marketing, or promotional purposes.

13. The deadline for contest entry is 11:59 pm EST on Sunday, December 31st, 2023. Submit your entry using this form. Contest entries can be submitted at any time prior to the deadline date.

    
    
    

Contest FAQs

1. Who may enter?

   • All current PARWCC members.

2. What are the contest categories?

   • Student résumé

   • Federal résumé

   • Mid-career Professional résumé

   • Executive résumé

3. How many entries can I submit?

   • You may submit one resume entry per category – for a maximum of four submissions.

4. What constitutes an “entry”?

   • A résumé representing your best work – no cover letters will be accepted. You can submit an original résumé or a résumé you have previously developed for a client, but remember to anonymize the content. 

5. Does my submission need to be ATS-friendly?

   • Yes. Your entry should be a representation of the final product you would give to a client for online applications. 

6. Do I have to be present at the Thrive! 2024 Conference to win?

   • No; however, the winners will be announced at the conference, and conference attendees will receive a booklet containing the winning submissions.

7. What will contest winners be awarded?

   • The overall winner will receive a free one-year PARWCC membership and a free ticket to the Thrive! 2025 Conference.

   • The first-place winner of each category will receive a free one-year PARWCC membership and a $300 credit toward any PARWCC training.

   • The second-place winner of each category will receive a free one-year PARWCC membership.

   • The third-place winner of each category will win a $100 credit toward any PARWCC training.
